Here is a scarce Omega vintage watch. This particular watch is a Swedish market World War 2 military-style watch. According to collectors, it is also known as the cigarette watch. Swedish soldiers used to trade their Suveran watches for cigarette packs, where they got the name "cigarette watch." Of course, only a limited quantity of the Suveran exists in today's market, most of which are with refinished dials or in inadequate condition. This one retains its factory-finish aged dial with its original set of hands. The watch will come with a brand-new crystal ~ original metal case gasket. The correct original crown on this watch is unsigned. The original solid stainless steel unpolished case model is 2400-7, and it measures 35.3mm across, excluding the crown by 42mm lug tip to lug tip. The professionally serviced manual wind movement is an Omega calibre 30T2 with 15 jewels. The movement serial number is 10579994, dating this watch to 1945. This watch is ready for daily wearing and will come fitted with a new 18mm vintage-style genuine leather strap. The wrist size in the photo measures 6 inches.
