Before Omega introduced the Constellation line into the American market in 1952, Globemaster is the original name. Due to the lawsuit issue, Globemaster is replaced by Constellation and ever since "Constellation" was printed on the dial right above the star. Globemaster reappears under their own line in the late 1950s, and here is a rare example. There are only a handful of these watches for this particular model. The automatic movement caliber is an Omega 501 with serial number 16241611 dating this timepiece to 1958. The case has a 10k gold filled case with a stainless steel back. It was part of the US Norman Morris collection. The case model is FX6282 and measures 34mm across excluding the crown by 41.7mm lug tip to lug tip. Brand new case gasket. Crystal is brand new. Original signed crown. The dial is factory original and in excellent condition. Brand new 18mm genuine leather strap. Wrist size in photo is 6 inches.
